It is a little known fact that solar panels and batteries don't work during a power cut. This is because it uses the Grid to complete the circuit.
When a power cut is detected your sonnenProtect switches over to island mode. Island mode keeps your sonnenBatterie and solar panels running without a problem. In island mode, you will be disconnected from the grid until it is up and running again. The sonnenProtect manages everything for you automatically and seamlessly, you don't have to do a thing.
The sonnenProtect 2500 is for a sonnenBatterie hybrid system. The sonnenProtect 1300 works with Sonnen AC batteries.
