JA Solar have utilised split cells to increase the efficiency of this range of panels, making them one of the highest efficiency panels on the market.
Other benefits of this technology is better temperature performance and reduced shading effect. This all adds up to more electricity generation, more of the time.
Split cell panels are stronger than other types of solar panel. Back bar aluminium frames provide additional protection during high winds.
Exposure to higher temperatures can cause hot spots in the panel this can decrease output. This can damage connections, cells and the junction box. Cutting the standard cell in half not only lowers operating temperature but it also increases efficiency and lowers voltage.
Split cell technology also reduces the loss of output from shading issues, which makes them a perfect solution for domestic customers.
